This last week was a
really nervous one because it was board week, and transfers are this
Thursday! Christensen wanted to stay and so did I. The good news that we found
out today was that we are both staying, This is a 7 week transfer coming
up.
This was
also a very successful week I think. Two weeks ago we had interviews with President.
He told us that he wanted us to have appointments with people; members,
less actives, and ask for referrals. Most of the appointments fell through (No
surprise. That happens every now and then) but we were very, very blessed this
last week. The Lord blessed us in different ways. We got 6 referrals last week.
They came from media referrals, lessons with less active members, members who called
us and told us that they had a referral for us, and other missionaries.
Even though we did not have a lesson every single night we were still
really busy, and we were blessed to be able to receive 6 referrals! We
contacted some of them.
I always look forward to
interviews with President. He is so full of love, and he cares so much about
every missionary. He told us of how good of a job we are doing.
These last
weeks we have been so, so busy! There were some days where we had to end lunch
early because we had an appointment. Some days its really hard and tiring, but
I think I have been blessed with extra energy.
I’m
starting to really like the East. I was not all too excited to come here, but
there is a lot, a lot of work. It has been fun to be in this area.
We taught Ben three times last
week. He is the most solid investigator I have ever had. It has been really fun
to teach him! He is on date for baptism this Saturday at 2:00.
He has been coming to church and he likes it, and he is participating in it
too. On Nov. 1st we will be having a potluck. That will be fun! We have
one more lesson with Ben. We taught him about everything, and he has accepted
it all. I’m really excited for this baptism on Saturday!
Its crazy
to think that Halloween is this Saturday! I remember last year I was still
in Trail. I was only out 3 months!
The temperature has dropped. It
is suppose to snow today.
We met with Rodel again. He is
still smoking, and I’m not sure about his real intent, but we are continuing to
work with him.
Also I’m required to get an
International Drivers License. There was an accident somewhere in BC, and the
Church is getting charged, because the missionary was not Canadian. It will be
really easy to get. It’s $25.00. The mission
will pay for it, but we will need to reimburse the office.
Dallin!
That is so amazing that you are this close to your Eagle! Good job! Having your
Eagle Scout award will help you out so much in life! I miss being in scouts it
was alot of fun!
